Verein Migräneforschung Schweiz (Club migraine research Switzerland)

Around 1 million of the population in Switzerland suffers from migraines. Every fifth Swiss person knows migraines from their own experience and everyone knows someone who suffers from this form of headache. Hardly any other medical diagnosis is made so often and yet there is still a high need for information and education among those affected.

The Verein Migräneforschung Schweiz, which was founded in 2006 by Dr. Med. Reto Agosti, Head of the Kopfwehzentrum Hirslanden AG, is particularly committed to gain more acceptance for migraines in our society. Migraines are to be perceived as a serious illness and should no longer be labeled as a mental illness. In addition, the association wants to give those affected help in dealing with their suffering. With the commitment of the association even better treatment options should be achieved in the future.
